Selfishness, cheating, and so on in American sports.
I'm sick of it.

Where are the honest, purely team players at??
You tell me. 'Cause I'm a lifer sports nut, but boy oh boy, this "meism" and doping is getting old!

Sports hasn't become a leisure event to lead us from social calamity for a brief period it is now part of social calamity. Where can a purist go?

It's a Big Deal

My eldest daughter has never really been big into sports but tonight she gave swimming a try and I'm real proud of her! It's a big deal for her to give this a shot considering her younger sister, our middle child, is REAL big into sports...like nuts about softball and running and whatever. Well, I was just real happy to see my girl excited about something she really enjoys and something that allows us to be together as well. Well, she did real well and it looks like this might be something she can continue with. I suppose lots of folks wouldn't really think this is a big deal...but for me and my first born it was one of the best 6-7pm time slots we've evr shared! I guess that makes it a pretty big deal.

There's a lot of big deal stuff going on in this world like watching Iran's uranium consumption, the Hillary Presidential watch, catching terrorists, the sky high price of gas, new U.S. Justices, and all the rest, but for this dad tonight, just hanging out with my kid was about the biggest deal going.

Yep, what may be a big deal to some is not to others, but that's OK because in the case of our kids everyday with them is a big deal because they are so special.
